GE Designz - About Me Section

My name is Gavin Echterling. I currently live in the Northwest Indiana area and attend Boone Grove High School in my senior year.

After high school I intend to enroll in college. Which college I will enroll in has yet to be decided. I will first get a two year degree in Electronics. Once this degree is complete, I will move to Chicago and attend Columbia College for Photography and Web Design.

GE Designz - Experience Section

I am currently employed at Digital Target Marketing in Merrillville, Indiana. Digital Target is a leading web development firm in the Direct Response niche. I’ve been working there since June 2008, and have built over a hundred websites and have gained a wealth of knowledge on how to create and design the most effective web pages.

I have also been designing web site on my own for little over a year. My first spark of interest came in a web design class in my freshman year of high school. From that point on I fell in love with the internet and creating sites and have designed dozens of pages for personal use. I expanded my knowledge outside of the class moving to a much greater level than what was being taught. Then in May 2008, the opportunity to work at Digital Target came up and I took full advantage. I leaped into high gear accelerating my advancement in the field.

GE Designz - Interests Section

My greatest passion is Photography. I've been shooting for a little over 6 months and look to expand my interests in the field as a professional in the future.

I also have a strong interest in the field of design. I love to create and design digital artwork especially for the web. I aim to continue increasing my knowledge in the field as I work at Digital Target.

I have a passion for soccer as well. I enjoy watching many professional sports, but soccer is my favorite. I've finished a successful final season with my High School soccer team. We went undefeated in Regular Season only to be defeated in Round 1 of sectionals. I also play for a club team as well, the American Spirit Soccer Club.
